Sysco And US Foods Merger In FTC Crosshairs

According to The WallStreet Journal, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has accused Sysco Corporation (SYY) of violating anti-trust laaws with its plan to merge with US Foods. The US regulatory authority is contemplating either blocking the merger, or filing antitrust litigation against the American food supplier, Sysco. The federal watchdog is also exploring the option of asset divestment before it lets the merger go through.
